Love the interior of the place, also nice outdoor seating area with fans. Good service, excellent food!! Also $5 tacos for taco Tuesday! My favorite was the buffalo calamari taco, then the blackened mahi mahi, and last was the beer battered shrimp taco. The side of plantains were also amazing and the salsa with corn to start is different and delicious! I will be back!
I absolutely LOVE this place! Food and service is always AMAZING! My favorites are the Rasta pasta and shrimp and crab dip! You can't go wrong with these! Cabo is always my go to spot when anyone asks for recommendations or if it's my turn to pick a place for lunch or dinner.
Great spot to grab some good food. Chips and salsa, queso or guacamole is always good. Tacos are bigger and filing. Sides added different, but still good. Always busy- sitting on the patio is always nice!
Stopped by this hidden gem on a Friday night around 7. Plenty of free parking even though the place was pretty full. Walked in and got a table for 3 immediately. Our waitress was super friendly. She brought over tortilla chips and pico/corn salsa. Pico was on top of the corn salsa. It was pretty good. They have a solid bar with TVs and every tequila you could think of. We ordered the lemon grilled shrimp taco. I was afraid because most shrimp tacos have 3 small shrimp but this thing was stuffed and it was one of the best tasting tacos I ever had. My second taco was the steak taco with the roasted tomato sauce. Man. That taco was damn good. My wife got the quesadilla. It was loose and hard to eat but that was her problem. Tacos were amazing. Would I go back? Yup! Looking forward to it too. Shrimp taco all day! Make sure you get the lemon grilled shrimp taco. They also have a battered shrimp taco.
Cabo fish taco was a very solid restaurant. I'll start off with what was good. The tacos were excellent. I got the ahi tuna tacos with wasabi on top and they were fantastic. What I didn't like: the salsa was a combination of diced tomatoes and corn. It lacked flavor and was very difficult to top on top of your chip. I also wasn't to keen on the refried beans, and I am the worlds biggest refried beans lover. I docked off a star for the cons, but I'd come back and just order some different sides. The tacos were that good
I recently visited Cabo Fish Taco and I must say that I was blown away by the food and overall experience. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The menu offered a wide variety of unique and delicious tacos, with plenty of options for both meat and vegetarian lovers, along with fish and non fish options. The honey soy glazed salmon tacos and the BBQ Mahi tacos are some of the best tacos I have ever put in my mouth! They were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, with a nice crunch from the batter and a burst of flavor on the inside. I like how you can mix and match tacos to try as many options as possible! While the food was exceptional, I have to say that the service was just okay. Our server was friendly, but not particularly attentive. However, we did come in on a busy night. All in all, the food more than made up for it and I will be coming back soon!
This was not my first time eating here. And I can honestly say that the experience is consistent every... single...time. We arrived early on a Friday evening and were promptly seated. In fact, it took way longer for us to find parking than it did to get a table. Our waitress was patient and attentive throughout our visit. She was also knowledgeable about the menu as well as dietary restrictions (gluten-free). We took her suggestion about mixing and matching to try different tacos. Our food came out very quickly. All of our orders were prepared exactly as requested. The portions are generous and the food was flavorful. Just a few warnings: the complimentary salsa is a bit on the spicy side. The Honey Wasabi Sauce on the Tavarua tacos was a little heavy but I survived. If I had to take off for anything, it would be the ambiance. It's pretty dark which made it difficult to take good photos. And it was also very loud. Pro-tip: Sign up for their rewards program to earn points for visits. There is also a restaurant app.
Had dinner at Cabo Fish Taco the other night and really enjoyed my tacos! I ordered the shrimp taco and grilled steak taco, with the jalapeño potato mashers. Everything was so good! They legit fill these tacos to the max too, they're HUGE lol. Service was great as well, super chill. I mean it's in NoDa, it's supposed to be chill lol. My one complaint was the margarita I ordered. I ordered the pomegranate margarita and when it came it was almost watery and was super bland. I always hate to complain about something while out. But this time I couldn't keep it to myself. I told our server, who was cool about it and took it back so they could remake it. When he brought the 2nd one it tasted exactly the same...like water. I was pretty disappointed since I wanted a nice drink after a long day. But hey, guess you can't win em all. I'll definitely be back for tacos, but I'll probably avoid the margs from now on.
